Before a single line of code, a long look. The frame is chosen, never just found.
The darkroom
for motion.
Ten experiments in scroll, each pulled through the same chemistry as the rest of the site. Keep scrolling to develop them.
The long exposure.
One lens, one crop, no zoom. Constraint is what makes the picture, and the product.
In the darkroom of the editor the latent image resolves, edge by edge, into something real.
Hold back here, push there. The last ten percent is where the photograph actually lives.
Fixed, washed, pegged to the line. A finished print is one you can hand to another person.
Then the next roll goes in and the counter clicks back to one. The work was never the point, the seeing is.
The Lightbox.
Momentum is real here, edge resistance and all. Fling a print and it keeps going, then eases to a stop against the frame.
The Aperture.
First Light.
Photography taught me optics before any framework did. A lens is just a function, light in, an inverted world out, and focus is only ever a choice about where to place the plane.
In the Skies.
